POYNINGS boot fair (shaves thatch car boot sale) is situated on the A281 south of Henfield on the road leading from Brighton
Poynings car boot sale is easily accessed via the A23 on the A281 .
From the south (Brighton area or A27), head up the A23 look out for the A281 which is by Tates garage, there is a road sign here saying A281 Henfield & Poynings. Follow the A281 to a small roundabout by Poynings village (do not enter the village here) instead turn right (3rd exit off roundabout) go past Rushfields garden centre and continue straight on, you will come to a sharp left bend, as you go around this bend you will see the Poynings carboot on your left, enter the site 200 yards up road on your left.
From the North, head down the A23 past Hickstead services, take the next exit (B 2118) follow the road around over the bridge, turn left at the roundabout with Friday-ad office in front of you, go through Sayers Common over two small roundabouts. after a while you come to a set of traffic lights. when green go straight on for a mile or so. When you arrive at a T junction turn right after a 1/2 mile you arrive at another T juncion turn right onto A281 the Poynings car boot is a few hundred yards on the left.
